Description

This project was created and showcased in the Immersive Art Space. The challenge was to create a possible flight object made out of plastic foil. The interaction with the jellyfish is a special experience and you get abducted into a different world. The calming sound of the semi-transparent foil, the feeling on your skin and how it reacts to the slightest wind is an exciting experience. There is an manual interaction possible, when you pull the string underneath as well as the motoric interaction. Next to the string we attached motors to influence the up and down motion of the jellyfish. The control is done via the visual programming application called Max. For the illumination of the jellyfish we use LED strips which we have placed and attached inside the foil. Afterwards we welded this seam well and filled it with helium.
